About Us

In the 1970s, a new wave of multicultural fraternities and sororities began to emerge, distinct from traditional Greek-letter organizations. By the end of the twentieth century, the multicultural movement had gained momentum, giving rise to national multicultural fraternal organizations. These newly founded fraternities and sororities sought to redefine the landscape of Greek-letter societies, emphasizing the importance of unity and providing a space for individuals of all backgrounds to come together. Their mission was to foster a sense of belonging and create a lasting impact within the broader Greek community.

Learn About Our Community

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) at Kennesaw State serves to provide a community that centers inclusivity of all races, cultures, and backgrounds.

The goals of our Multicultural Greek Council are:

  • To provide a forum that allows for free exchange of ideas, programs, and services between its constituent fraternities and sororities.
  • To promote the awareness of multicultural diversity within collegiate institutions, their surrounding communities, and the greater community at large.
  • To support and promote the works of its member organizations.
